I think this is going to be another work in progress and I'll have to start somewhere. At this time, I don't know how I should categorize them... so I'll just start a list if you are interested in any thing lets talk, I like to barter:
Equipment:
2.6 kW worth of Evergreen PV modules with customized support structure
Prototype Alkaline electrolyser capable of producing 99.9% pure H2 at a rate of 15 scf/hour at 2000 psi.
150' of aluminum 2/0 (3 wire) power cable
2- 14' 6" diameter steel pipe and head for mounting PV on poles.
1 kw ballard/Colemen fuel cell...needs a special coil for it to work H2 gas dryer
H2 gas oven
2- H2 catalytic heaters
small H2 BBQ
Large H2 BBQ
11 Hp-6 kw H2 powered electrical generator
3.5 HP lawnmower engine
5.5 Hp lawnmower engine
air driven water pump capable of producing 3000 psi
proprietary software packages to record and visualize performance data
5- 2000 psi storage cylinders that can hold 200 SCF of H2.
numerous connectors/adaptors and support equipment
2-3 regulators
Need:
100 amp outdoor rated disconnect
1-3 relays

Wow Tim, you got quite a setup! For that 100amp disconnect does it need to be hooked directly to the grid or can it use a disconnect like a heat pump, fused or nonfused?
What size relays? |

Abe The Disconnect goes between the PV array and the E'ylser
The Relays are Omron model # G7L-2A-TUB-CB-AC100/120
I also have another 5 hp lawnmower engine that can be converted.

I know this is an old post, but I am interested in buying a cylinder and regulators for doing a simple engine conversion.
If you have any extra equipment let me know! |

Interesting, I went to school in Logan. Heres my recommendations...just so you can complete you initial project of copnverting an engine...
locate your local airgas dealer...who ever it is develop a nice relation ship with the folks there...they'll have almost everything you need....and expertise. they can supply the H2 and all the fittings/adapters
If you don't want to pay their price for regulators...2 stage is best, find one on line to a medium range one...theres a company out there that actually sells repaired ones...if I found it...you can too. somewhere in the $100-150 range....money well spent
for details on converting the actual engine...look here in the forums..theres a lot of info...I recommend that you find an engine with an electric start...your arm will get tired...but if not, you can do a real simple conversion with an engine, cleverness and a trip to home depot.
